How do we secure more women on boards – permanently, structurally and with attitude?
This question was the focus of the second Sheconomy evening event of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V. (BCCG) – held at the Satellite Office Stuttgart, directly on Königstraße.
A place that not only offered the perfect setting for inspiring encounters, but was itself part of the answer with its concept:
Satellite Office creates spaces for attitude. For change. For leadership.
Attitude instead of opinion: keynote speech by Colette Rückert-Hennen
Colette Rückert-Hennen, member of the Board of Management of EnBW, spoke impressively about the challenges and solutions for more women in top positions.
Her presentation “Women in management positions as a pipeline for more women on management boards” was profound, honest – and above all fact-based.
Her conclusion:
It is not enough to talk about equality – you have to shape it in a targeted way. With processes that objectify. With supervisory boards that promote change. And with quotas that clearly anchor responsibility.
Your four recommendations:
- Buy-in by the Supervisory Board – no change without a clear stance at the top.
- Objective processes – from application to selection.
- Competence-based selection criteria – professional and leadership skills must be assessed equally.
- Binding quota for female board members – because voluntary commitment is often not enough.

Rooms with attitude – rooms with impact
The fact that this evening took place in the Satellite Office is more than just an organizational detail.
Our pureSilent® rooms stand for more than design – they stand for values.
- For the peace in which thoughts can grow.
- For the connection that makes real networks possible.
- For the effect that lasts – beyond the evening.
In the middle of bustling Stuttgart, Satellite Office offered a protected, stylish setting for new perspectives. And with Anita Gödiker as founder and host, it became clear that interior design can also convey attitude.
A charming highlight: Thomas Diehl from the Diehl winery, who was the only man in the room with excellent wine and a fine sense of atmosphere.
Many thanks to Natalie Jakobus-Hillers for the first-class organization, Hartmann Ilka and the BCCG team for the trusting partnership – and Isabel Intrup and the local Satellite Office team for a host experience that sets new standards.
We look forward to the continuation – with a clear stance, strong voices and spaces that enable more than just meetings.
