How do we secure more women on boards – permanently, structurally and with attitude?
This question was the focus of the second Sheconomy evening event<\/strong> of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V. (BCCG)<\/em> – held at the Satellite Office Stuttgart<\/strong>, directly on K\u00f6nigstra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n\n

A place that not only offered the perfect setting for inspiring encounters, but was itself part of the answer with its concept:
Satellite Office creates spaces for attitude. For change. For leadership. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Attitude instead of opinion: keynote speech by Colette R\u00fcckert-Hennen<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Colette R\u00fcckert-Hennen<\/strong>, member of the Board of Management of EnBW, spoke impressively about the challenges and solutions for more women in top positions.<\/p>\n\n

Her presentation “Women in management positions as a pipeline for more women on management boards”<\/strong> was profound, honest – and above all fact-based.<\/p>\n\n

Her conclusion:<\/strong>
It is not enough to talk about equality – you have to shape it in a targeted way. With processes that objectify. With supervisory boards that promote change. And with quotas that clearly anchor responsibility. <\/p>\n\n

Your four recommendations:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

  1. Buy-in by the Supervisory Board<\/strong> – no change without a clear stance at the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Objective processes<\/strong> – from application to selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Competence-based selection criteria<\/strong> – professional and leadership skills must be assessed equally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Binding quota for female board members<\/strong> – because voluntary commitment is often not enough.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Rooms with attitude – rooms with impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    The fact that this evening took place in the Satellite Office is more than just an organizational detail.

      A charming highlight: Thomas Diehl from the Diehl winery<\/strong>, who was the only man in the room with excellent wine and a fine sense of atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n
